I see my jewelry as a little bit of nature that I capture and pass on.

Growing up in Seattle, I was rooted in the woods of Ravenna Park and at Camp Sealth on Vashon Island. Years later on Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands, I found an awe of beach rocks…their vast array of shapes and individual subtleties…eventually leading me to jewelry design and creation.

My silver designs are simple and solid. The matte finish is achieved by taking the sterling silver to a high shine and then finishing with a specialized micron material. I cut and shape a wide variety of stones in free-form, keeping with their organic nature. Without a template, the stones seem to be my guide. Each stone in my jewelry is unique, naturally.

My La Conner studio is amongst cedars and pines with the calls of Flickers and soaring of Eagles. It is well equipped with “cool tools” and nine work stations. Here I find making jewelry, both metalsmithing and lapidary, a great adventure. It is my passion. I pass that joy on with each piece!
